Chrismas Fun At Mimi and Pop's!

Last night we went to my grandparents house for a lovely meal of pork-chops, greenbeans, mashed potatos, corn, and rolls! Yum! Then afterwards we made a gingerbread house. Boy, was it messy! But we still had fun.

We had a great time.
After that, we went and saw some lights down at the Plaza. When we were driving around, Christian said, "Wow! The Plazma looks so cool!" What a cute little man. I love him a lot! :)

Thanks for haveing us over, Mimi and Pop! We love you. Merry Christmas!

Thanks For Your Prayers

Hey all. Thank you for you prayers. I sure felt God with me today. Well, all is fine. It hurt a little more than I excpected, but I'm fine. The lady in the picture is Kathy. She is the one that took care of me during those four hours. I feel pretty good except, I got some medication that makes me tired. Once again, thank you for your prayers and I will see you all Sunday!

Prayer Request

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been sick with the stomach virus and I am just recovering. I have a prayer request... This Wednesday, I will be starting an I.V. medication called Remicade. This is one of those things where you go in, and they stick a needle in you and it drips the medication in for a few hours. So if you could be praying for me on Wednesday at 10 o'clock (in the morning of course) that would be great. I miss you guys a lot. Some of you, I will see on Wednesday night for choir, and others I will see on Sunday at church. (Which BTW, those of you doing choir, make sure you come to the last real practice on Sunday afternoon, 2:00 SHARP! :) See y'all when I see ya!

Happy Thanksgiving (Early):D

I am going to be out of town on Thanksgiving day so I just wanted to say "Happy Thanksgiving" to everyone. I am so grateful for every wonderful person in my life. I thank God daily for my friends and my family. Friends, life without you all would be very boring. I am so glad to have friends who always point me to Christ. Family, My life would be horrible without you. This Thanksgiving day is on my mom's birthday, so today I am particularly grateful for her. Mom, thank you for leading me and walking with me in biblical womanhood. You are my role model. I want to be the type of mom that is always there for her daughter when she needs help. That is the way you are to me. I love you to the moon and back. I will dig you up and find you in a treasure box.
See you all when I get back!
Happy Thanksgiving!

What I Read Today

Today in my devotions I read about the promised safety that God gives us. I thought it was very encouraging. 2 Timothy 4:18 says, "The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring we safely to his heavenly kingdom." That alone in very comforting, but a book that I have really brings to light what this scripture means. There is a quote by J.C. Ryle that says, "No soldiers of Christ are ever lost, missing, or left dead on the battlefield." This is what the book says on that scripture:
Are you a worrier? Join the club. Its membership includes the entire human race. Yes, there are some who will deny that they worry, and on the surface they seem carefree. But deep down inside, they fear something- tragedy, abandonment, and certainly the day of death. We were born in the insecurity of a fallen world and a sinful disposition. But God offers security. This is perhaps the most profoundly good element of the Good News. The gospel has comforted so many hearts because it touches the heart's deepest needs. Our needs for companionship, for love, for provision, for purpose- all are part of our inheritance in Christ. We worry about failure, injury, loneliness, debts, and death. But we can claim with Paul: "The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring we safely to his heavenly kingdom."

Happy Birthday, Anna!

Okay. Sorry guys. You did guess it. Anna and I got locked in the basement. (Sorry Elisabeth, I didn't know that was what you meant.):) Here is what happened... We were cleaning the church and we went into the basement to get something... Well, I guess you could say that it didn't work as planned. Yes, we got locked in... Finally after fifteen minutes of yelling "MR. GOODMAN! IF YOU CAN HEAR US, WE NEED SOME HELP!" Yes, pathetic, I know. After what seemed an eternally he came to the rescue. Apparently, he thought we were in the gym, so he went down there and was cleaning bathrooms for 15 min. Oh well, at least we got out! :)

Here are some pictures from Anna's B-day Party:
